HOPE & DIGNITY

CLOTHES

Instead of clothes going in landfills, they can go straight to the people who need them the most.

We give away over $70,000 worth of clothing every month at Good Shepherd's Clothes Closet, and we plan to continue that mission for years and years to come. 700 people walk through our doors every month to get the clothing they need at no cost to them. All they need to bring is some form of identification to be able to qualify for free clothing and shop at our store.

SUPPORT US

There are many ways to get involved with your time, talent, and treasure.

One is to volunteer time every week to serve your community.

The second way you can support us is by donating clean, gently used clothing to Good Shepherd's Clothes Closet so that we can sort and give them away to those in need on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 10 AM and 2 PM

The third way is by financially supporting us. Our operations run solely on generous donations from supporters like you. That's how we keep the lights on every week.

VISION

As a nonprofit, our goal is to expand to serve more people than those that walk through our doors.

Our goal is to expand and help more people as time goes on with our new Micro Closet expansion

More on that coming soon!

Community Cares is a weekly podcast with Chaplain Chaz Blackburn and Dave McLaughlin at Good Shepherd's Clothes Closet showcasing the latest and greatest in Reno/Sparks by sharing three events. At the end, we highlight a community resource, and we always learn something new.

Every Monday, join our Q&A during our LIVE show on Facebook and get your questions answered. You can find us on Spotify, YouTube, Facebook, and everywhere else you get your podcasts.

MICRO CLOSET EXPANSION PROJECT

Our Micro Closet Expansion Project aims to provide clothing care services to the Reno/Sparks community. We plan to set up small closets with our partnering organizations throughout the city, which are already helping people in need. Our primary goal is to supply clothing to those most in need. Our storefront, located at 540 Greenbrae Drive in Sparks, Nevada, is already stocked with beautiful clothes donated by generous people like you. With these donations, we can fill our Micro Closets with essential items that can be a lifeline for people in need.

Our pilot program at Bristlecone Family Resource Center has been a success, and we are working towards partnering with other organizations in the community. Thanks to the grant from Molina Healthcare, we have purchased a new truck to help us transport clothing items to our Micro Closets in different locations, getting clothing to the people who need it the most.
